959 Carved Eagle by John Bellamy

Carved eagle firmly attributed to John Haley Bellamy, ca 1890. This carving exhibits all the characteristics of this Maine carver who died in 1914. Original paint to the eagle with minor retouch to the shield; lacking a banner which was a separate piece. 24 in. long.
