Commemorative brown and white New Bedford whaling pitcher, made for Bliss and Nye New Bedford, Mass. by Buffalo Pottery,1908. The transfer designs on this pitcher depict "The Niger- The Last of the Famous Full Rigged Ships Formerly Engaged in Whaling"  on one side and "Sperm Whaling-The Capture" on the reverse.   The inside of the spout is inscribed "The Whaling City Souvenir of New Bedford, Mass".  6 in. high.  Very good condition.
