Map of Nantucket by Austin Strong. Designed and published in 1921. Archivally framed in a bird's eye maple frame with gold liner. There are a few creases and a 1 1/2 in. long tear which presents no image loss. 14 1/2 in. x 17 1/4 in., sight. A nice collector's item.

Austin Strong, step grandson of Robert Louis Stevenson and a well known playwright, was, together with Tony Sarg, one of the founders of the Nantucket Wharf Rats.
