Bill of Exchange for payment to A.W. Peirce & Co. for supplies for the whaling Bark Progress, signed by her master, E.B. Lapham, at Honolulu, Hawaii, dated April 2nd, 1879. The payment was endorsed over to the New Bedford Cordage Co.
The Bark Progress left San Francisco in 1879 on a whaling voyage in the Pacific Ocean. This voyage is not listed in Hegarty's Continuation of Starbuck but is noted in Lund, Whaling Masters and Whaling Voyages.
