Antique Ship Nameboard "Louisa"

This wonderful antique ship nameboard with incised carved letters is probably from a large schooner. It retains much of its original paint and has a great "crusty" surface. Minor loss to the foliate ends. There are three 1/4 in. diameter mounting holes countersunk on the front surface at each end. 94 in. long x 8 1/2 in. wide. New England, ca. 1880's.
