Product Description
Rare 17th Century woodblock print of a stranded whale. This print, done in 1660, is a copy of a larger, earlier (1601) print. Note that the artist included himself in the scene in the process of drawing the whale, attesting to the rendering having been drawn from life. Archivally framed. 7 1/4 in. x 12 in., sight.
