This scarce First Edition of Obed Macy's History of Nantucket was published in 1835 in Boston by Hilliard, Gray & Co. and is a classic first-hand account of the Nantucket whale fishery. It retains the original 2 plates of the island map and a sperm whale and has original boards and a new spine. A nice copy with minimal foxing and a 2 in. tear in one page.
