Ship captain’s tambour top traveling lap desk, camphorwood with brass trim. The top rolls back when the front drawer beneath the writing surface is opened. The back section springs up, revealing pigeonholes and tiny drawers, with a secret compartment beneath. oa 18 3/4 in. wide, 15 in. deep, 33 in. high, on a new mahogany stand which allows the desk to be opened in place.
